2 Page C O M M I T T E E R E P O R T S C L U B S E R V I C E R E C O R D S During the 01 Junior and Senior Presentations, it was noted that some player's service records may have been recorded incorrectly during the years of 009 through to 01 and in turn, may have not been recognised for their service to the Club during these years. We have now commenced a full audit of the Club's Service Records from 009 through to 01. Once this audit is completed, the Service Records, if incorrect will be updated and those Service Records will be recognised during the 014's Junior and Senior Presentation if required. the team has time to organise reserves if needed. All playing strips to be handed back to the manager at the end of the match - no one is to wear playing strips home with the exception of the female teams where there are no change room facilities available. Parents are that children playing in the playground should be supervised at all times. R E G I S T R A T I O N P A Y M E N T S Thanks to most of the parents and players who have either paid their invoices in full or first instalments. If you believe that your Club's service has been recorded incorrectly, please your details and the missing service details to Matt Beckhaus at matthew.beckhaus@y7mail.com prior to 0 June 014. T E A M B B Q D U T I E S A huge thank you to the parents who gave up their valuable time to help us on short notice with the BBQ. Our club could not operate without your help, which is why ALL teams will be placed on a BBQ roster and are expected to provide a couple of parents after your games when required to bolster our stretched committee who also have individual commitments as coaches, managers and to our own playing children. Ask any Committee person or whoever is in the canteen how you can help. Remember, money raised from the BBQ goes towards the end of year presentation for your child.. A F E W R E M I N D E R S... All rubbish, eg: bottles, strapping tape at training and game days to be placed in the bins provided. No training within goal mouth areas. All teams to organise nets up and nets down including setting up portable goals and returning to the shed if your team is scheduled as first or last games on that field. All managers to check pigeon holes located near the canteen area during the week. If you can't make your game, notify your manager so
3 Page C O M M I T T E E R E P O R T S C O N T.. A F E W R E M I N D E R S P A R T.. 1. Club Strips. We would like to remind all Coaches, Managers, Players and Parents with the exception of our female players where there are no change room facilities available, that under NO circumstances is the Club Strip to be worn outside of match games. This means it cannot be worn to the game, home after the game or around the streets or to shopping centres. The Club Strip should be carried by the Team Manager at all times. This is stated in the Doonside Hawks Handbook for 01 in Clauses and 4.. Parking at Glendenning Reserve. (a) As we are all aware, parking at Glendenning Reserve is limited, especially when it is raining and or the surrounding grass areas are still damp. However, there are still some people that will still park in front of the access gate to the fields or the disable car spaces. We would like to remind everyone that there is NO PARKING in front of the access gate to the fields (gate near the Rubbish Bin Compound) as this access gate is used for emergency vehicles, such as an Ambulance during matches if required. If the gate is opened in the morning by the Committee, this means that you are permitted to park on the grass area near the residential boundary fences. We are lucky to have this area to be used as additional parking if needed, but if we abuse it, the gate will be locked in the future. that display a current national disable parking authority, which is required to be display on the windscreen of the vehicle at all times. So if you have not got a current national disable parking authority, please do not park in these car spaces during training days or match days.. Centre of the Full Fields. Reminder to all Coaches, Managers and Players that if matches are being played on the full fields at the same time, the centre area and technical areas (cricket pitch) between the full fields are for the Coaches, Managers and Players who are actually playing in those matches at that time. This area is not for Players from other teams, family members and friends. All Coaches and Managers in technical areas should have their club identification cards displayed at all times during the match. 4. Smoking at Council Grounds. A reminder to all that in the City of Blacktown, smoking is no longer permitted at any time on the fields or surrounding areas, such as the Canteen, Toilets and Car Park. This includes training nights and match days. If you need to smoke, you will need to move outside of boundary fences of Glendenning Reserve. Please do not park anywhere near the fields or behind the Goal Posts. (b) At Glendenning Reserve, we are allocated marked disable car spaces. These disable car spaces are the car spaces closest to the storage facility and the footpath leading up to the Canteen. As we all would like to park as close as possible to the fields, these marked car spaces are reserved for those
4 Page 4 C O M M I T T E E R E P O R T S R E G I S T R A R S R E P O R T This year s registrations have just passed last year s total. At present, we have 56 registered players as of the 4//014. That has amounted to 46 teams this year for Doonside Hawks. We have had some issues with photos this year and hope it will be rectified by next year. If you need to update any records, please go to Please note we can only contact you if your details are correct. Also a lot of photos are a bit out-dated and need to be re-done. You can complete this by uploading a photo to Myfootballclub (MFC) - don t forget to hit save. Have a great year!! J U N I O R S S G CO- O R D I N A T O R R E P O R T We have x U5 s teams, 4 x U6 teams and 4 x U7 teams registered this year. A lot of the children are new to the sport and it s great to see them having a go. Christian Talbot (Club Coach) went to a training night at the BDSFA in regards to training the mini roos. He has implemented a new training strategy this year whereas the children are trained in squads. All the coaches are involved and each training night they take the group of children they have assigned to them and assist them through the different drills. This method teaches them a variety of skills as well developing the coaches. The biggest drill we want to teach our children this year is to have FUN!!. Saturday March 014 Glendenning Reserve in the morning!
