1 APPENDIX A TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS REWARDS AND RECOGNITION PROGRAM Backgrund JEA wns, perates and manages the electric system established by the City f Jacksnville, Flrida in In June 1997, JEA assumed peratin f the water and sewer system previusly managed by the City. JEA is Flrida s largest municipally wned utility and the seventh largest municipal in the United States. JEA s water system serves mre than 300,000 water custmers and 230,000 sewer custmers, which is mre than 80 percent f all water and sewer utility custmers in ur service area. JEA emplys apprximately 2,000 emplyees. Of thse, five rganized unins represent apprximately 1,600 emplyees. Service awards/pins Must be able t replicate design f current service pins in desired quantity. The JEA lapel pin is apprximately ½ inch in size with ne (1) t three (3) nn-precius synthetic stnes. The pin quality shall be 1/10 gld-plated. The estimated ttal number f pins per year is 600 and they are typically rdered n a quarterly basis. The vendr will supply pins n an as needed basis.
