4 Mercedes-Benz Agility At Mercedes Benz we offer a range of options for you to fund the purchase of your new truck. One of our most popular finance products is Mercedes Benz Agility. How does Mercedes Benz Agility work? At the start of the agreement your Business Manager will advise you of the Guaranteed Future Value for your truck based on the mileage that you expect to cover during the course of your agreement. This Guaranteed Future Value is equal to the final Optional Purchase Payment but you don t have to decide whether to make this payment and keep the truck until the end of the agreement. In the meantime, you simply choose how long you want to keep the truck, how much you d like to pay as an initial deposit and the monthly payments that suit you best. When the agreement comes to an end you can either purchase, return or part-exchange the vehicle. When returning the vehicle it must meet our Vehicle Return Standards and be within your agreed mileage as charges may apply. The Benefits of Agility Defer the decision to own the truck outright until the end of the agreement. Decide upon the level of deposit and monthly repayments that suit you best. 5 Purchase process of your vehicle Option 01: Purchase your Mercedes Benz by paying the Optional Purchase Payment. Please note that a Purchase Activation Fee will be debited from your account. To find out how much this is, please look at your contract under the other financial information section. This will complete the purchase of your Mercedes Benz. Option 02: Hand back your Mercedes Benz. If you decide to return the truck to us, it s vital that you check your Mercedes Benz for any unacceptable damage beforehand. Fees can easily be avoided if you follow our Vehicle Return Standards and adhere to your agreed mileage. It requires no capital investment and the vehicle is not shown as an asset on your balance sheet. 7 How does Mercedes Benz Contract Hire work? Instead of owning the vehicle or vehicles, you hire them for a fixed period typically 3 to 5 years for a fixed monthly fee. This fee is based on the difference between the initial value of the vehicle and its projected value at the end of the agreement, meaning you repay only a proportion of the vehicle s value. With a Contract Hire agreement you avoid any concerns about the future value of your vehicle or selling it on at the end of your agreement you simply hand it back (subject to the vehicle not exceeding its agreed mileage and meeting the Vehicle Return Standards, as charges may apply). How does Mercedes Benz Operating Lease work? Monthly rentals are based on the difference between the price of the vehicle at the start of the agreement and its projected residual value, plus interest charged. Therefore, you only repay a proportion of the vehicle s value which avoids any large initial outlay and reduces the monthly rental. At the end of the lease period the vehicle is simply returned, (subject to your agreed mileage not being exceeded and the vehicle meeting return standards as charges may apply). How does Mercedes Benz Finance Lease work? With a Finance Lease, a vehicle is hired to you for a fixed period without the option of ownership. You agree an initial rental amount and pay this amount either monthly or quarterly for the life of the agreement. The benefits of Finance Lease Fixed regular monthly payments.
