1 Request for Mortgage Assistance... For Mortgage Assistance Under HAMP and Other Foreclosure Prevention Alternative Programs. Submit your request today. HAMP IS ENDING SOON! If we don t receive your application on or before December 30, 2016 you will be ineligible for HAMP and any associated financial incentives! Here s how our process works. In order for us to determine your eligibility for any of these programs, you must first complete and submit the Request for Mortgage Assistance (the Application) that starts on page 5 of this packet as well as all supporting documents required as part of the Application. Questions? Call us at Monday - Friday 8 a.m p.m. EST Send the information we need to help you. Please follow the 9 steps outlined on pages 3 and 4 to complete your Application. Please read these steps carefully and provide all of the required information. Providing incomplete documentation may delay or disqualify you from receiving a loan modification or an alternative Foreclosure Alternative Program. You will be asked to indicate whether you are interested in programs designed to help you retain your home such as a modification, repayment or forbearance plan, or programs where you do not desire to retain your home such as a short sale or deed-in-lieu of foreclosure. We are here to help you with your Application. If you have any questions or need assistance from a representative to help guide you through the Application process, please feel free to give us a call at CIT Group Inc. All rights reserved.

2 Important Information Not All Borrowers Will Qualify for a Loss Mitigation Offer We have not yet determined if you are eligible for a loan modification or other loss mitigation option. Qualification for any available assistance programs is subject to review of your Application (and related materials). We reserve the right to verify the information you submit and request other information and/or documentation to fully evaluate your eligibility. If you previously ere determined to be ineligible for a modification and are determined not to have a Change in Circumstance (see section titled Important Information for Borrowers Previously Denied for a Loan Modification), your loan is not eligible for consideration for a loan modification, however, other foreclosure alternative options may be available. Please contact us before completing the Application that starts on page 5, as some of the information collected on the Application may not be needed. Not all borrowers who submit a completed Application will qualify for a loan modification or other loss mitigation option. Application Requirements and Process In order to request consideration for a loan modification and other loss mitigation options, a complete Application together with all required supporting documents must be submitted to and accepted by CIT Bank, N.A. We will notify you if additional documents are required from you in order to complete our evaluation of your loan for loss mitigation. Within 5 business days of receipt of your first Application and any supporting documents, we will send you a letter acknowledging receipt and inform you whether the Application is complete or incomplete. If the Application is incomplete we will list the additional documents or information necessary to complete the Application and the date by which you must submit those documents or information. Once you have submitted a complete Application we will determine if you are eligible for a loan modification or other loss mitigation options based on your situation. In most cases, we will complete our evaluation within 30 days of receipt of your Application and all required supporting documents. If we are unable to complete our evaluation within 30 days we will notify you of the reason for delay and our estimated time to resolve the delay. Protection from Foreclosure Sale during the First Application Process If you fail to complete your first Application we will not refer the loan to foreclosure until the later of (i) the 120th day of delinquency or (ii) at least 30 days after we notify you that your Application is incomplete provided your Application remains incomplete on the ate of referral. Upon submission of a complete Application and all required supporting documents at least seven (7) business days prior to a scheduled foreclosure sale date (or 37 business days prior, in the case of borrowers whose loans are not eligible for loan modification), your home will not be (i) referred to foreclosure; or (ii) sold at foreclosure sale (if the foreclosure process had already been initiated prior to your submission) while your loan is evaluated for loss mitigation options. (NOTE: The foreclosure sale date will only be suspended if a complete Application is submitted and accepted by the applicable deadline prior to the foreclosure sale date and suspension of the foreclosure sale is permitted by the court or public official conducting the sale. In addition, if an Application is submitted less than 30 calendar days prior to a scheduled foreclosure sale date, the complete Application must be delivered through certified/express delivery mail with return receipt/delivery confirmation to CIT Bank, N.A., or the foreclosure attorney/foreclosure trustee.) Foreclosure Process May Proceed - Do not ignore any foreclosure notices. Following submission of a complete Application and all required supporting documentation, the loss mitigation evaluation and the foreclosure process (if it has already commenced) may proceed at the same time. While you will not lose your home to a foreclosure sale during the loss mitigation evaluation, you may receive foreclosure notices delivered by mail or in person, or you may see steps being taken to proceed with foreclosure. In order to protect your rights under applicable foreclosure law, you may need to respond to these foreclosure notices or take other actions. If you have any questions about the foreclosure process and the evaluation of your loss mitigation request, contact us at If you do not understand the legal consequences of foreclosure, you are also encouraged to contact a lawyer or housing counselor for assistance. Important Information for Borrowers Previously Denied for a Loan Modification: For borrowers previously evaluated for a loan modification who did not successfully complete the Trial Period Plan or who were determined to be ineligible for a loan modification or other foreclosure prevention alternative, CIT Bank, N.A. will consider an additional application only if the borrower submits documentation of a material change in financial circumstances ( Change in Circumstance ). A Change in Circumstance is a change in income resulting in qualification for a foreclosure prevention alternative for which you were previously ineligible. If there is no Change in Circumstance we will not accept your application and you will not be evaluated. If you document a Change in Circumstance and submit a complete application we will evaluate your eligibility for a modification or other option. We will suspend a foreclosure sale only if the time deadlines set forth in the Protection from Foreclosure Sale during the First Application Process section are met. Notice of Right to Receive a Copy of a Valuation Report if Ordered for Modification Decision In conjunction with assessing your loan for a modification, we may order a property valuation (appraisal or broker price opinion) to determine the property s value. We will promptly give you a copy of any property valuation ordered, even if your loan is not modified. You can pay for an additional appraisal for your own use at your own cost. Svc_RMA_004_
