1 General Terms and Conditions for the Registration for the 29 th Annual Scientific Meeting (ESMRMB CONGRESS 2012) 1. Scope of Application These general terms and conditions stipulate the regulations for the Registration for ESMRMB 2012 in Lisbon, Portugal. A contractual relationship subject to these terms and conditions is entered into between the Education Congress Research GmbH (hereinafter referred to as "ECR GmbH") with its registered office in 1010 Vienna, Neutorgasse 9, and the participant of ESMRMB 2012 (hereinafter referred to as "participant"). Any contractual or legal declarations of the participant deviating from these general terms and conditions shall not be part of the contract entered into with ECR GmbH notwithstanding the consumption of the services offered by ECR GmbH by the participant and the payment of fees therefore. 2. Registration 2.1 Registration for ESMRMB 2012 is to be made electronically by completing the respective registration forms provided on the homepage of ESMRMB ( Registration forms submitted without full name, complete and postal address and/or date of birth cannot not be processed. 2.2 Upon registration the participant shall receive an electronic confirmation about the registration for verification of the participant's personal data only. 2.3 The participant's registration for ESMRMB 2012 shall not become effective prior to ECR GmbH having received the full registration fee due.

2 2.4 Payment of the registration fee can be effected either by bank transfer or by credit card (VISA or MasterCard/EuroCard). 2.5 Upon payment of the registration fee by credit card the participant will receive a confirmation . An invoice for the registration fee is available on the homepage of the ESMRMB in a secure area. To access this area a PersonaliD, provided to the participant electronically, is required. 2.6 In case payment of the registration fee by bank transfer is the chosen payment method the recipient will receive a confirmation of registration by upon completion of registration, including the bank data for the transfer. Both the relevant confirmation of order as well as the invoice for the registration fee is available on the homepage of the ESMRMB in a secure area. To access this area a PersonaliD, provided to the participant electronically, is required. The amount of the registration fees depends on the date the participant s payment is credited on the bank account stated below and will be adjusted accordingly, if the payment is not credited on the bank account by the end of the relevant deadline listed in subsection 3.2. below. Any bank charges incurred are to be paid by the participant. 2.7 Payment by cheque is not accepted.

3 2.8 Cancellation ECR GmbH offers all participants the possibility of ensuring the registration with our partner Europäische Reiseversicherung. Thus, ECR GmbH will not refund any amount after a cancellation of registration itself. All requests have to be issued to the Europäische Reiseversicherung directly. Refunds will be given within the terms and conditions of the Europäische Reiseversicherung. 2.9 Name changes Name changes will be treated like the cancellation of one registration and the registration of another participant. 3. 4 3.3 The respective registration fees shall only be valid if registration is submitted and fully credited on the account of ECR GmbH stated in subsection 2.6 above by 24:00 o clock of the last day of the respective registration deadline stated in the table in subsection 3.2 above. A failure to meet the relevant deadline will render the relevant invoice invalid, no congress badge will be provided and no confirmation of payment will be issued unless the difference to the registration fee valid on date payment was credited on the bank account of ECR GmbH is dully covered by participant. 3.4 To attend ESMRMB 2012 as a Member, membership fees with the European Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology (ESMRMB) for the year 2012 must be settled at the time of registration. To apply for membership with the European Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology (ESMRMB) an online membership application on the ESMRMB website at must be completed and submitted. Payment of the membership fee has to be effected before registration as Member is possible. This process is irreversible and refunds of Non Member Registration Fees are not possible. 3.5 Online- Registration: MR technologists/radiographers: Attestation of the institution/head of department required. The document may be uploaded in the course of the registration process or sent to the ESMRMB Office. Students/residents: A copy of the diploma (bachelor, masters, medical degree) has to be uploaded during online application or sent to the ESMRMB Office. The registration is limited to 6 years following the date of the diploma! Please note that this does not apply for PhD degrees. Onsite Registration: MR technologists/radiographers: Attestation of the institution/head of department required. The document has to be presented at the registration desk. Students/residents: A copy of the diploma (bachelor, masters, medical degree) has to be presented at the registration desk. The registration is limited to 6 years following the date of the diploma! Please note that this does not apply for PhD degrees.

5 4. Proof of Identity The safety of all congress delegates and participants is of utmost importance to ESMRMB. ESMRMB reserves the right for staff to check participants' identification upon admission to the congress venue. Participants may be requested to present adequate proof of identity, in the form of a passport, driver's license, national or military identification or student ID when checking in. Documents for the proof of identity must include a photograph and signature. 5. Congress Material The congress material (badges, etc.) will be made available to the participant on-site at the relevant registration counters. 6. Certificate of Attendance/CME Accreditation Any confirmation or certification related to ESMRMB 2012 will be available after the congress on the ESMRMB website, at The PersonaliD will be required to access the personalised congress related documents online. 7. Limitation of Liability 7.1 Liability and obligations of ECR GmbH in the case of cancellation of ESMRMB 2012 for what reasons ever shall be limited to the reimbursement of registration fees only. 7.2 As far as permitted by law, the liability of ECR GmbH for damages shall be restricted to wilful intent or gross negligence. No limitation of liability shall be valid and effective with regards to personal injuries of participants qualifying as consumers (Verbraucher) in the meaning of the Austrian Consumer Projection Act (Konsumentenschutzgesetz). 7.3 ECR GmbH shall not be liable for any damages caused by force majeure.

Personal Data I agree that the following personal data: full name, profession, address (institution, hospital, department, address), is being passed on to ESMRMB 2012 sponsors listed on the homepage ( for the purpose of providing marketing and information material relating to the field of radiology and information on scientific events. I further agree that ESR shall be entitled to send s on its behalf containing marketing information of ESMRMB sponsors listed on the homepage. I am entitled to revoke my consent to the specific data processing at any time by sending a corresponding to registration@esmrmb.org. 9. Place of Performance/Applicable Law/Place of Venue Any contractual relationship with ECR GmbH shall be subject to Austrian law. The place of venue shall be 1010 Vienna. ECR GmbH shall be entitled to pursue any claim before the courts of law competent for the defendant's domicile or general residence.
