3 MEAT PRODUCTS OF INDIA LTD. TENDER NOTIFICATION Meat products of India Ltd. invites tender for the supply of live goats for a period of three months. The tender document and details can be had from the office or website. Tender should accompany an EMD of Rs.10000/-. 5 LIVE GOATS 1. The Company requires live goats. to be supplied to the company for a period of three months. 2. The material should be supplied as per the purchase orders and the time schedule specified should be strictly adhered to. The requirement is approximate and may vary from time to time. 3. Rate quoted should be inclusive of all costs including transportation to the company, other incidental and all statutory levies. 4. The average monthly requirement is as follows. The order for the supply of live goats will be placed one week in advance and the supply should be made as per the purchase order. The requirement mentioned above are based on approximations and any loss incurred to the supplier due to the reduction in the quantity of the raw materials purchased should be reconciled by the supplier himself and the Company will not be liable for the above. 2. The goats should be of 30 to 32 kg average live weight and 1.5 to 2 years of age. The Goats should be of exotic/meat breed preferably Malabari variety 5

6 3. The Goats should be transported to the company by the supplier live, in healthy condition. The transportation cost and any unforeseen expenses en route should be met by supplier. 4. The weight of the live Goats will be reckoned at the factory and 80% of the payment will be made by way of cheque/ NEFT and the balance will be paid after assessing the meat yield. 5. Only quality Goats with minimum meat yield of not less than 35% should be supplied. In case of lesser yield, prorata deduction will be done. 6. The supply schedule should be strictly followed and if the supplier fails to supply the live Goats as per the schedule, the Company will be having the liberty to procure raw materials for meat production from the local sources and the excess amount incurred if any in this regard will be deducted from the amount payable to the supplier. 7. The rate for the above items should be quoted inclusive of cost of transportation of the materials to the company and all other incidental expenses, if any. 8. If your rates are found reasonable an agreement should be executed by you/your firm with the company in Rs.200/-Kerala stamp paper for uninterrupted supply for three months. You will also be required to remit a sum of Rs.25000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) as security deposit, which will be refunded without interest on satisfactory fulfillment of the contract, after deducting liabilities if any. 6

7 9. Provisions contained in the Stores Purchase Manual of Government of Kerala will also form a part of this Tender since Meat Products of India Ltd. is bought under the purview of the same. 10. Conditional Tenders will not be accepted under any circumstances. 11. If found necessary, a negotiation will be conducted by the Managing Director or his authorized representative after opening the Tender. 12. The Managing Director reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers without assigning any reason. Quality and other specifications: 1. The Goats used for supply should be of good health free from all types of zoonotic diseases and the goats should yield a meat yield percentage of minimum 35% from the live weight. If the stipulated meat yield is not obtained there will be a prorata reduction from the value of the goats supplied corresponding to the reduction in the meat yield. 2. The goats should be of 30 to 32 kg average live weight. 3. Goats that are supplied should be in good health, free of all contagious disease. 4. The veterinary doctor of the company will conduct the ante mortem and post mortem inspection of the goats supplied and only good quality goats in all respects will be accepted and any 7

8 loss incurred to the supplier due to rejection of any/all of the goats due to inferior quality will be born by the supplier and the company will not be liable to the above..
