Over the same period, we have set up more than 38,000 Debt Management Plans and have disbursed to creditors over $232,000,000.

CONSUMER is also supported by fair-share contributions received from sponsoring financial institutions (generally, the creditors of the Company s customers) determined as a percentage of the amount collected by the company from its customers under the debt management program that are then remitted to the sponsoring financial institutions pursuant to payment plans granted to customers on their respective debts with such financial institutions. Project Summary Florida Consumer strongly believes in Family Literacy programs. We encourage a comprehensive, holistic approach to education in which parents and children learn and grow together. Family Literacy programs address the literacy strengths and needs of the family/community while promoting adults' involvement in children's education, recognizing adults as a powerful influence on children's academic success. Family literacy programs also recognize the reciprocal nature of parent-child relationships. Programs provide both parent-initiated and child-initiated activities to support development of those relationships and to increase the motivation to learn for both parent and child. It's never too early to start teaching children the basics of money management. Exposure to financial education at an early age can lay the foundation for a more successful financial future. We encourage parents to actively participate in helping their kids become well versed in money management.
