Deadline Dec. 12, 2017 at 400 p.m. (EST) REORGANIZED DEBTORS SIXTH NOTICE OF CLAIMS SATISFIED IN FULL Chaparral Energy Inc. and its affiliated reorganized debtors (collectively, the Reorganized Debtors ) file this notice (the Notice ) identifying certain Claims filed in the Chapter 11 Cases 2 that have been satisfied postpetition through payment by the Reorganized Debtors pursuant to a Court order authorizing such payments or otherwise (collectively, the Satisfied Claims ). Each of the Satisfied Claims is listed on Exhibit A attached hereto. Exhibit A is incorporated herein by reference and also is accessible at the website maintained by Kurtzman Carson Consultants LLC ( KCC ), the Debtors Court-appointed claims agent http// In further support of this Notice, the Reorganized Debtors respectfully state as follows 1 The Reorganized Debtors, along with the last four (or five digits, in cases in which multiple Reorganized Debtors have the same last four digits) digits of each Reorganized Debtor s federal tax identification number, are CEI Acquisition, L.L.C. The Reorganized Debtors address is 701 Cedar Lake Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK References to the Debtors and Debtors in Possession herein are intended to refer to the Reorganized Debtors, where applicable. 2 Prior to the occurrence of the Effective Date (as defined in the First Amended Joint Plan of Reorganization for Chaparral Energy, Inc. and Its Affiliate Debtors Under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code [Docket No. 924] (the Plan )), the Reorganized Debtors were debtors and debtors in possession (the Debtors ) in these Chapter 11 Cases. Capitalized terms used but not otherwise defined herein shall have the meanings ascribed to such terms in the Plan. RLF v.1

On May 9, 2016 (the Petition Date ), the Debtors filed voluntary petitions in this Court commencing cases for relief under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code (the Chapter 11 Cases ). The Debtors managed and operated their businesses as debtors in possession pursuant to Bankruptcy Code Sections 1107 and No trustee or examiner was requested in the Chapter 11 Cases, and no committees were appointed. 2. Additional information regarding the Debtors and these Chapter 11 Cases, including the Debtors business, organizational structure, financial condition, and the reasons for and objectives of these Chapter 11 Cases, is set forth in the Declaration of Mark A. Fischer, Chief Executive Officer of Chaparral Energy, Inc., in Support of Chapter 11 Petitions and First Day Pleadings [D.I. 14], incorporated herein by reference (the Fischer Declaration ). A. Filing of the Debtors Schedules of Liabilities; Entry of the Bar Date Order for the Filing of Proofs of Claim 3. On May 11, 2016, this Court entered an order appointing KCC as claims and noticing agent in these Chapter 11 Cases [D.I. 63]. KCC is authorized to maintain (a) all proofs of claim filed against the Debtors and (b) an official claims register (the Claims Register ) by docketing all proofs of claim in a claims database containing, among other items, the name of each claimant, the date that KCC received the proof of claim, the claim number assigned to the proof of claim, and the asserted amount and classification of the claim. 4. On June 29, 2016, each of the Debtors filed its schedules and statements of financial affairs [D.I ]. On August 9, 2016, each of the Debtors filed amended versions of their schedules and statements of financial affairs [D.I ]. On August 18, 2016, Chaparral Energy, L.L.C. filed second amended schedules and statements of financial affairs [D.I. 423]. 2

On July 1, 2016, the Court entered the Order Pursuant to Bankruptcy Rule 3003(c)(3) and Local Rule (e) Establishing Bar Dates and Related Procedures for Filing Proofs of Claim (Including for Administrative Expense Claims Arising Under Section 503(b)(9) of the Bankruptcy Code) and Approving the Form and Manner of Notice Thereof [D.I. 270] (the Bar Date Order ), which established (a) the general deadline to file proofs of claim in these Chapter 11 Cases as August 19, 2016, at 500 p.m. (Prevailing Pacific Time) and (b) the deadline for governmental units filing proofs of claim against the Debtors as November 7, 2016, at 500 p.m. (Prevailing Pacific Time). 6. KCC duly served form proofs of claim and the Notice of Deadline for the Filing of Proofs of Claim, Including for Claims Asserted Under Section 503(b)(9) of the Bankruptcy Code [D.I. 303] (the Bar Date Notice ) in accordance with the Bar Date Order. 3 On July 6, 2016, the Debtors also caused the Bar Date Notice to be published in each of The Wall Street Journal, The Oklahoman, and The Journal Record. 4 B. Plan Effective Date and Administrative Claims Bar Date 7. On March 10, 2017, the Bankruptcy Court entered the Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law and Order Confirming the First Amended Joint Plan of Reorganization for Chaparral Energy, Inc. and its Affiliate Debtors Under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code [D.I. 958] (the Confirmation Order ). 4 Case LSS Doc 1204 Filed 11/28/17 Page 4 of 8 confirmed the Plan. The Effective Date of the Plan occurred on March 21, 2017, and the Debtors became the Reorganized Debtors as of the Effective Date. Pursuant to Article II.A.1 of the Plan, the occurrence of the Effective Date established an Administrative Claims Bar Date of April 20, KCC duly served form proofs of claim and the Notice of (I) Effective Date of the First Amended Joint Plan of Reorganization for Chaparral Energy, Inc. and its Affiliate Debtors Under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code and (II) Establishing Deadline for the Filing of Administrative Claims Against the Debtors [D.I. 977] (the Notice of Effective Date ) in accordance with the Confirmation Order. 5 C. Status of Proofs of Claim and Claims Reconciliation Process 9. The Claims Register reflects that claimants filed approximately 2,530 proofs of claim as of the date hereof (collectively, the Proofs of Claim ). To date, the Reorganized Debtors have resolved approximately 2,020 of the Proofs of Claim. The Reorganized Debtors and their advisors are reviewing and reconciling all Proofs of Claim (including any supporting documentation) filed in these Chapter 11 Cases. The Reorganized Debtors also are comparing the Claims asserted in the Proofs of Claim with the Reorganized Debtors books and records (collectively, the Books and Records ) to determine the validity of the asserted Claims. II. CLAIMS SATISFIED AFTER THE PETITION DATE 10. In connection with their review of their Books and Records, the Reorganized Debtors have concluded that the Satisfied Claims set forth on Exhibit A attached hereto have been satisfied (a) prior to the Petition Date or (b) after the Petition Date through payment by the Reorganized Debtors (i) pursuant to the Final Order Authorizing Payment of (I) Royalty 5 See Affidavit of Service [D.I. 997]; Supplemental Affidavit of Service [D.I. 1012]; Supplemental Affidavit of Service [D.I. 1028]; Supplemental Affidavit of Service [D.I. 1029]; Supplemental Affidavit of Service [D.I. 1030]; Supplemental Affidavit of Service [D.I. 1074]. 4

5 Case LSS Doc 1204 Filed 11/28/17 Page 5 of 8 Payments, (II) Working Interest Disbursements and (III) Lease Obligations in the Ordinary Course of Business [D.I. 158] (the Order ), (ii) for post-petition claims against the Debtors that were satisfied in the ordinary course of business, or (iii) issuances of stock. The Reorganized Debtors believe that all of the Satisfied Claims were paid in equities or cash as such payments became due and payable in the ordinary course of business and pursuant to the Order or otherwise. 11. Accordingly, the Reorganized Debtors intend to designate the Satisfied Claims on the Claims Register as having been satisfied by payment in full. 12. The Reorganized Debtors will serve this Notice on all holders of Satisfied Claims to provide them with an opportunity to file an objection to the Reorganized Debtors determination that such Claims have been fully satisfied. Responses to the Notice 13. By this Notice, the Reorganized Debtors request that any holder of a Satisfied Claim who disputes the Reorganized Debtors determination that its Claim has been satisfied file a written response (the Response ) with the Office of the Clerk of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware (the Clerk ), 824 North Market Street, Wilmington, Delaware In addition, such claimant must serve its Response upon the following entities, so that the Response is actually received by no later than December 12, 2017 at 400 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) (the Response Deadline ) 5

Burton Facsimile (212) Every Response to this Notice must contain at a minimum the following a. a caption setting forth the name of this Court, the case name, the case number, and the title of this Notice; b. the name of the claimant, the number of his/her/its Satisfied Claim, and a description of the basis for the amount of the Satisfied Claim; c. the specific factual basis, supporting legal argument, and any supporting documentation, to the extent such documentation was not included with the Satisfied Claim previously filed with the Clerk or KCC, upon which the claimant will rely in opposing this Notice and the Reorganized Debtors determinations set forth herein; and d. the name, address, telephone number, fax number, and address, as applicable, of the person(s) (which may be the claimant or the claimant s legal representative) with whom counsel for the Reorganized Debtors should communicate with respect to the Satisfied Claim or this Notice and who possesses authority to reconcile, settle, or otherwise resolve any issues relating to the Satisfied Claim on behalf of the claimant. 15. Upon the Reorganized Debtors receipt of a Response, the Reorganized Debtors will then review the relevant Satisfied Claim in light of such Response, to determine whether there is a basis upon which to sustain the claimant s assertion that its Claim has, in fact, not been satisfied in full. In the event the parties are unable to reach a resolution, the Reorganized Debtors will schedule a hearing on the Satisfied Claim. The Reorganized Debtors reserve the 6

If a claimant fails to file and serve a timely Response by the Response Deadline, the claimant will be deemed to have consented to the Notice and the Reorganized Debtors determinations with respect to its Satisfied Claim, as set forth herein.
